Multistage Pseudo-Spectral Method (Method of Collocations) for the Approximate Solution of an Ordinary Differential Equation of the First Order

Abstract

A multistage pseudospectral collocation method based on Chebyshev polynomial expansion for solving first-order ODEs. The approach splits theproblem into two independent subproblems: finding solutions satisfying the differential equation, then applying initial/boundary conditions. Results show 1.5–3 orders of magnitude better accuracy than comparable methods.
